It looks like Brian Eno’s signing with Warp has had a positive effect on the productivity of the revered British musician, because not six months after the release of his latest effort ( “Small Craft On A Small Sea”, a joint venture between Eno, Jon Hopkins and Leo Abrahams), the Suffolk artists has announced a new album. It’s called “Drums Between The Bells” and it’s the result of the collaboration between the godfather of ambient and poet Rick Holland. The two combined at the end of the nineties for a series of collaborative works for several academies and orchestras, but it wasn’t until early this year that the duo got together for another joint effort. The record will be out on 5th July on Warp. Until then, we can enjoy this first track. It’s called “Glitch” and, aside from the indications given by the title, it contains post-rock sonorities crowned by the robotic treatment of Holland’s recital.
