Boys Noize

An Spank Rock ally

Boys Noize

The young Alex Rhida (alias Boys Noize)—the leader, until recently, of electro-house paroxysm—seems to have found a new way of growing as an artist, by polishing the music of others. His latest work a as producer— Gonzales’s “ Ivory Tower”—is still fresh. Word has it he’s also involved in the forthcoming album by Spank Rock, led by MC Naeem Juwan (aka Spank Rock) and Alex “Arman” Epton (aka XXXchange). This will be the duo’s first full-length album since the release, four years ago, of “YoYoYoYoYo” (Big Dada, 2006), a juicy debut mixing the sound of Baltimore’s clubbing scene with ghetto-tech, glitchcore and electro-rap’s hypersexual rhymes. But producing is not Boys Noize’s only new project. Rhida has redoubled his publishing efforts by starting a Boysnoize Records digital sub-label called BNX Trax, which will focus exclusively on anything smelling of techno and experimental music. Electric Rescue, Jan Driver and Benny Rodrigues are responsible for responsible for the sub-label’s first three releases. But before putting them out, however, Boys Noise will release “1010”, Boysnoize Records’s 50th reference. Boys Noize - “1010” (preview)
