Russell Lissack said it at the end of spring: in September, after their festival obligations are fulfilled, Bloc Party will be going into the studio to record their fourth album. But there seems to have been a change of plans, as Kele Okereke recently told NME that there might be some new material sooner than expected: “there are some plans for new stuff. I'm not sure what I can say... I'd be surprised if there wasn't some new stuff before the end of the summer.” We’ll see if their extended silence has allowed them to freshen up and get some new ideas, after their disappointing third album. We’re all waiting for it.
