It took them a bit longer than expected, but it's finally here. A year after announcing the project, the studio recording of “SÓLARIS” is finally ready, the composition where Ben Frost and Daníel Bjarnason have re-imagined the soundtrack of Andrei Tarkovsky's film “Solaris” based on the Stanislaw Lem novel. As you'll know, the piece was commissioned by the Krakow Unsound festival, where it was premiered in October 2010, with the Orkiestra Sinfonietta Cracovia. On 7th November, Bedroom Community will release the effort on LP, CD and digital. The label say that behind the score is a series of experimental processes during which the first recordings by Frost and Bjarnasson were treated with software designed to “correct” music. The result of this “correction”, equally full of errors due to the dense and distorted nature of the raw material, was then transformed into a score for orchestra. All that, supervised meticulously by Brian Eno. While we're waiting for the release, check the teaser after the jump.
