New Yorker Tim Sweeney - dance music radio champion with his ten-year running weekly Beats In Space show - has started his own label. It has been known for two years that Sweeney felt like doing it (last year, Tensnake stated that the first release would be by him, but in the end Sweeney wasn't all that satisfied with the two tracks he sent him), but now it's finally here: Beats In Space Records. The label will release its first record next month, a 12” by a mysterious Parisian called Paradis. One of the sides will feature “La Ballade de Jim”, a cover version of an original by Alain Souchon, which you can listen to after the jump. The release is slated for 20th September.
