Though Apparat’s new album has been ready for months - it’s only now that the basic information on “The Devil’s Walk”, his first LP on Mute Records - is revealed. The album sleeve (the cannibal banquet you see to the right of this article) continues the graphic concept of the first two advance tracks, “Black Water” and “Ash/Black Veil”. The work began last year, when Sascha Ring was visiting Sayulita in Mexico - a small, idyllic village on the Pacific coast. Ring recorded most of the record there - with the help of Fredo Noguerira and Telefon Tel Aviv’s Joshua Eustis - and finished the job in Europe, with Patrick Christensen (member of Warren Suicide, another Shitkatapult band) lending a helping hand. The album will be out on the 27th of September..
