Just over two months after appearing on one of the Frkwys episodes (a minimal and pensive “Frkwys Vol. 3” collaboration with one of his music heroes, Anthony Moore. Alexis Georgopoulos (ex- Tussle), who is one third of The Alps (released by Type and Root Strata), and half of Q&A (on DFA), has finished his second album as ARP. The record is titled “The Soft Wave” and those who have listened to it say is livelier than its predecessor, “In Light” (Smalltown Supersound, 2007), with more varied instrumentation (guitars, flutes, pianos, and vocal parts). An album of avant pop and textures of kosmische tendencies.
“The Soft Wave” will be available on 7th September via Smalltown Supersound, and before that, half way through August, a 12” will arrive with both parts of “Pastoral Symphony” alongside remixes by Studio, Etienne Jaumet and Mauve Deep (otherwise know as visual artist Keegan Mchargue).
