Jay-Z And Beyoncé Raise Four Million Dollars For Obama’s Campaign

The President referred to Beyoncé as “a positive role model” for his daughters

Great admirers and friends of the Obamas, last Tuesday Jay-Z and Beyoncé organised a party in their New York club, 40/40, to raise funds for the re-election of the President of the United States. The price of entry was 40,000 dollars for the 100 people who attended, so if you get out your calculator, the amount raised came to four million dollars. In one of his usual eloquent speeches, Barack joked: “Jay-Z now knows, you know, what my life is like. We both have daughters. And our wives are more popular than we are... So we've got a little bond there. It's hard, but it's okay”.

According to sources at US Weekly, the President also stated that Beyoncé is a positive role model for his daughters. Although cameras and microphones weren’t allowed at the party, the President shared a photo with the couple on Twitter along with the following message: “A couple supporters in a New York state of mind last night”.

Having cleared up the controversy with Nicki Minaj (that “I'm a Republican voting for Mitt Romney / You lazy bitches is fucking up the economy” that she threw out in the lyrics of her song “Mercy” was ironic), it seems that the jet set of North American rap still prefers to vote Democratic.
