The readers of ‘ The Sun’ woke up with the news that The Stone Roses will release a new album in 2013, once their reunion tour is finished. The rumour is based on the fact that they signed a deal with Universal Records when they announced the reunion, for two albums, though they have yet to play any new material during this tour. So we should be cautious. A source told the tabloid that "John [Squire] and Ian [Brown] have been sending each other ideas for over a year now. During rehearsals they have tried some new songs and really felt that the old magic was still there with the song-writing. They have decided they will give it another spin with new music next year." We'll see how much of this is actually true, but we detect a distinct smell of MBV.
