If you go to the PlayGround homepage and look at the upper right corner, you will see—if you haven’t yet—the PG Radio player: a streaming, high-quality compression, non-stop music service you can activate whenever you’re in need for some new music to liven up your hours in front of the computer. Until just a few days ago, PG radio had only two channels: a general one with the best music of the moment according to PlayGround, and a second one called “Beatz”, which focuses on abstract rhythms from the dubstep and instrumental hip hop scenes.
For the beginning of September, PG Radio has widened what’s on offer with four more channels, so that makes six. “New Pop” specializes in new pop, rock, and folk songs; “Urban” focuses on black music in all its variants (hip hop, neo-soul, R&B); “Club” is devoted to contemporary techno sounds, house, electro and disco music; and “Horizontal” broadcasts ambient sounds and experimental music, as well as some IDM, neo-classical music and the compulsory doses of noise, hypnagogia and chill-wave. All the broadcast music has been previously selected by Playground experts and writers so that you get the best and freshest music. Click on play and try it—you’ll soon find out PG Radio is your best new vice.
