Nicki Minaj Confirms That Her Performance At The Grammys Was Part Of “A Film”

The rapper doesn't understand the fuss about the dancing vicars

The Grammys gala last Sunday wasn't the best ever. But Nicki Minaj decided to add some spice to the affair, doing a performance of “ Roman’s Revenge” and “ Roman Holiday” - it was excessive and tacky but also incredibly good, visually. What the artist doesn't get, judging from her comments at the presentation of a famous cosmetics brand, is the controversy her appearance generated. The performance was inspired by “The Exorcist” and featured scenes of possession, levitation and dancing priests. Turns out it's all part of a “film” she's making. “You know how people write plays and movies? That's what I did. I wrote that and I gave the world a tiny little preview of what was to come. And so I have to perform it on the set in which it would be in the movie, right?” What we don't know yet is what that film is going to be like, if it's just a new video or if it's something bigger and more ambitious. We'll keep you posted.
