Mogwai Writing The Soundtrack For A New Documentary

Antony Crook directs a piece about cyclist James Bowthorpe crossing the Hudson river

Mogwai's sound has always had a certain cinematic ring to it, so it's no surprise director Antony Crook asked them to write the score for his upcoming documentary, “ Hudson River Project”. The film tells the story of cyclist James Bowthorpe crossing the Hudson River. Not in just another boat, though: his vehicle of choice is entirely built from recycled material he picked up from the streets of New York. By doing this, he wants to demonstrate the possibilities of recycling just about everything that surrounds us urbanites. The documentary makers have just started a crowd-funding campaign, so anyone who wishes to contribute to the funding of the project will have the possibility to do so.
