The appointment was yesterday, starting at 6:15pm (BST), in such a heavily-frequented place as Twitter. As they had promised, at that time Blur came out on the micro-blogging network to play their two new singles, “ Under The Westway” and “ The Puritan”, live from a rooftop terrace in London; both songs were composed with an eye to their performance this August in Hyde Park for the closing of the London 2012 Olympic Games. Did you miss the streaming even though it had been announced? Don’t cry. Just after the rebroadcast, which also included an interview with the band (in which they also answered some questions asked by fans on Twitter), both songs appeared on the band’s official YouTube channel in their studio versions. At the end of these lines, we leave you their 'lyrics video'.
Both songs are already available in digital format through iTunes. Remember that “ The Puritan” and “Under The Westway” will also be out on a limited-edition 7” that Parlophone will release on 6th August.
