Last March, we told you about the book about all of Mathangi "Maya" Arulpragasam's visual work. As you may know, before she started her musical career, M.I.A. was already channelling her creativity in film and visual arts.
As planned, the delicatessen for the fans who want to have it all has just been published by Rizzoli. The book features generous amounts of graphic material from every stage of her career: from stills from her videos, images from her shows (Coachella, among others) and digital collages to etchings from her first years at Central Saint Martins art school in London. There's also an exclusive interview with the artists, which sees her talking frankly about some of the achievements and controversies throughout her career. The prologue was written by her friend and regular creative collaborator Steve Loveridge. You can get your copy here.
