If your memory serves you well, you'll remember that, months before the release of “Biophilia” (One Little Indian, 2011), Björk promised us a documentary about the writing and creation process of both the album and its subsequent tour. In the end, it's not exactly going to be like that, as the film has become a popular-science documentary made in collaboration with legendary British nature documentary-maker Sir David Attenborough, who already put his voice to the app belonging to the Icelandic artist's most recent album. In “ Attenborough and Björk: The Nature of Music”, the two go over the general lines of the evolution of music and explore the relationship humans have with the art form, also analysing the role new technologies have in the shaping of the music we'll be listening to in the future.
The release date is TBC, but the viewers of Channel 4 in the UK will most likely be the first to see it. More details soon.
