Turbo Recordings is a Canadian electronic music label founded in 1998 by Tiga. It has always been a platform for Montreal artists, but also for artists from other parts of the world, such as Jesper Dahlbäck (Sweden), Drama Society (Italy), The Hacker (France) and Märtini Brös (Germany). Their sound palette is broad. Though in the early days they mainly released electro with touches of synth-pop, they have since opened up to other styles including classic techno, house and disco – for example with their latest signings, Azari & III. Many of their releases are on 12-inch vinyl. In May 2011, they celebrated their 100th release. Turbo also has two sub-labels, albeit inactive at present: Fabergé Records, focussed on house, and White Leather, with music by David Michael Cross, DMX Krew and D’Arcangelo.
