Sunday Best is a British independent founded in 1995 by BBC Radio 1 DJ Robert John Gorham, alias Rob Da Bank. Initially, it was a series of Sunday parties in the south of London, but in 1998 they started to release records. Sunday Best is known for its eclectic sound, releasing a great variety of styles: rock, pop, hip-hop, techno, electro, house, disco, Balearic, folk, downtempo, rockabilly, dubstep and soul. Among its artists are Ebony Bones, Subway, Lemonade, Dub Pistols, Kitty Daisy & Lewis and Sound Of Rum, alongside Rob Da Bank's project Lazyboy. In 2011, Sunday Best released the latest album by filmmaker David Lynch, “Crazy Clown Time”. Apart from the label, the Sunday Best team also organises Bestival, celebrated yearly in September on the Isle of Wight. In 2011, they released a recording of The Cure's performance at the festival earlier that year.
