Software Records is sub-label of Mexican Summer, managed by Daniel Lopatin since 2011. It began with the release of the debut album by Ford & Lopatin, “Channel Pressure”. In its first few months, the label focussed on releasing the works by the different projects linked to the duo, such as Oneohtrix Point Never (Lopatin solo) and Airbird (Joel Ford) - which made it seem like the label was exclusively meant for them (furthermore, they don't accept demos). But in September 2011 they signed Harmonizer (a duo formed by Toby Aronson and pastoral ambient and drone veteran Greg Davis) to their roster as well as, most recently, Megafortress.
