Australian label Preservation brings us the new album by Finnish artist Olli Aarni. After “Nuojuva halava” (2010), “ Valot Kaukaa” is the first LP the producer signs as Nuojuva. Musically, however, the vital characteristics of his sound remain the same: languid and delicate instrumental passages, on which classical instruments (like cello, piano, violin and flute) make for crackling atmospheres, autumnal and comforting. This time, the vocal parts gain importance, with contributions from Rachel Evans, alias Motion Sickness Of Time Travel. The record is out now on digital, the physical formats will be released on 27th March.
