Since their 2005 reunion, The Black Dog have maintained a very high level of production; both qualitative and quantitative. Parallel to a string of always tasty singles, the trio has used the album format as a laboratory for several ideas and concepts. Continuing with this, their new LP focuses on capturing the kinds of sounds The Black Dog emit during their live sets. That way, their new delivery contrasts with the ambient of “Music For Real Airports” (Soma, 2010) and the drones of “Dokument.02” (Dust Science, 2011). On “Liber Dogma”, purist, rocky and visceral techno is the absolute star. Sequenced and mixed like a continuous set, it's a record which, in the words of the men themselves, “reflects the kind of set we play live. [It's] about surrendering to hypnotic, physical music played loud in big, dark rooms.” The album is slated for release on 24th October on Soma Records.
