Last week, techno baron Richie Hawtin used a video to promote his new summer residency (his first on the island, after several years of collaboration with Cocoon) at Space Ibiza. There he'll be doing his club night ENTER., every Thursday between 5th July and 20th September, where Hawtin wants to connect “many of the things that I love: music, technology, Japanese sake, art, entertainment and design.”
Today we learnt that ENTER. will feature four rooms, besides the Space main room: ENTER.Kehahuma, on the Space terrace; ENTER.Air, for the more experimental and less danceable projects; ENTER.Interakt, for interactive installations; and ENTER.Sake, featuring intimate and early-hour sets by people like Carl Craig and Frankois K, set in a room decorated like a Japanese sake bar.
Check the line-up below. There are a lot of familiar names - usual suspects from the world of M_nus - but there are some pleasant surprises as well, such as Grimes, Marcel Dettmann and Ben Klock. A special mention for ENTER.Air, where some illustrious names from the ambient, experimental electronica and dub-techno will play, such as Tommi Groenlund (the boss of the Sähkö label), Alva Noto & Byetone, Matthew Hawtin, Global Communication, Atom Heart and Mark Ernestus, among others.
