More details about “GLAQJO XAACSSO”, the debut album by mysterious British producer patten on No Pain in Pop. The record (to be pronounced “glack-geut zack-so”) holds twelve tracks between early house, nineties IDM and shoegaze. All that, delivered with vaporous textures and from a perspective that is as cerebral as it is straightforward. On the record we hear influences from Actress, Drexciya, the visceral noise of My Bloody Valentine and the saturated samples of J Dilla. Seasoned with the recent evolutions from the British bass continuum. All in all, a very promising release, slated for the 26th of September. This could be one of the surprises of the year in electronic music.
