This week, “Endless Now” - Male Bonding's new album - was released. As you will probably want to listen before you buy, Sub Pop uploaded a video with the whole album streaming. After a first listening session, we came to several conclusions. Firstly, the band have erased all their lo-fi tracks - delivering a much purer sound (courtesy of John Agnello, the producer of, among others, Dinosaur Jr.) - at times headed towards punk-pop. Secondly, the first advance track, “Bones”, is a grower. Finally - there is at least one instant hit on this album, “Tame The Sun”, a sure fire live favourite.
