Listen To Husky's Debut Album

“Forever So” out today on Sub Pop

Listen To Husky's Debut Album | Music News

A month and a half ago we brought you the news of Australian quartet Husky's signing with Sub Pop for their debut album, “Forever So”. Though the band members have rather different musical tastes, they all share an admiration for the classic sounds and rich harmonies of bands like Crosby Stills & Nash, The Doors, and Neil Young. Which becomes obvious on their first full-length, now available to stream, courtesy of the label. Listen, for example, to the catchy vocal harmonies of “Tidal Wave”, which sounds like a cross between Fleet Foxes and Grizzly Bear. There are more melodic tracks, like the delicious “Fake Moustache”, fragments of emotion and controlled intensity on “Dark Sea”, and subtle brass instruments on closing track “Farewell (In 3 Parts)”. Some rather promising first steps.
