When the arrival of Bass Clef’s new album was announced, Punch Drunk let us know that the work represented a significant change in the British producer’s sound. Now that we have had a chance to listen to it, it is confirmed that “Reeling Skullways” leaves the bass spectrum and nervous rhythm behind to enter into an exploration of the trippier side of Chicago House and Detroit Techno. Made entirely with analogue machinery and without samples, the album combines classic aromas with Cumbers’ somewhat eccentric perspective with the most gratifying results. The release will be available starting the 30th of this month via Punch Drunk. Until then you can listen to all of it courtesy of Resident Advisor. You only need to follow this link.
