It's hard to keep up with Curren$y. Every month his YouTube channel offers new tracks featuring so and so, new collaborations, new mixtapes. This year alone he's already delivered two EPs and an album, and next Tuesday he's making his debut on Warner Bros with “The Stoned Immaculate”. Warm sounds, organic timbres, brass and strings, electric outbursts of soft-jazz, and jazz-funk are the common (not the only) factors in some carefree tracks on which we hear cameos by Pharrell, Big K.R.I.T., Wale, Marsha Ambrosius, 2 Chainz, Wiz Khalifa and Estelle. Even Jim Morrison appears, uttering those “stoned immaculate” words. Only on the preview though, not on the album.
