Eighties-nostalgic Craft Spells, who emerged last year as one of the great white hopes of Captured Tracks, are back with a new EP on 15th May. According to the press note, the love Justin Paul Vallesteros and his mates feel for the post-punk and synthetic pop of the era hasn't faded just yet, which is further confirmed by the excitingly optimistic, The Cure-like “Still Left With Me”, or “Leave My Shadow”, which is pure New Order. Songs which, as their titles suggest (“Warmth”, “Sun Trails”) are warmed up by the California sun.
