Coachella Goes On A Cruise To The Bahamas And Jamaica

Pulp, Hot Chip, James Murphy, and Sleigh Bells will be playing the festival at sea

Coachella Goes On A Cruise To The Bahamas And Jamaica | Music News

Weezer opened the musical cruise season a few months back (they probably weren't the first, but they were the ones who made the biggest noise about it), and now the organisers of Coachella have announced their plans to do their thing at sea. The Indie festival will have its seafaring version in December, with two cruise ships sailing from Fort Lauderdale to the Bahamas (16th-19th December) and Jamaica (19th-23rd). Playing the festival cruise will be, among many others, Pulp, Hot Chip, Yeasayer, Girl Talk, DJ James Murphy, Simian Mobile Disco, Sleigh Bells, Cloud Nothings, and Father John Misty.

It's going to be quite a dear do: room prices range from 500 to 9000 dollars, and that of course doesn't cover the price of food and drink during the cruise, or the trip to Florida. More details soon.
