Tresor’s History Revealed

Documentary “Sub Berlin” To Be Released On DVD in April

Tresor’s History Revealed | Music News

Since the old Tresor closed its doors in 2005, the poor souls anxious to hear the best techno had no choice but to make a pilgrimage to other monuments of the genre in the German capital, at least until its re-inauguration in 2007. Whether you were there or not, on April 2nd, a documentary called “Sub Berlin” will be released, reviewing club and record label Tresor’s first 25 years. The film, directed by Tilmann Kuenzel and released in 2009, includes the testimony of figureheads of the electronic universe like Jeff Mills, Juan Atkins, Blake Baxter, Mr. C, Dj Rush, Mark Reeder or Sven Väth, among many others. The DVD will come with a compilation CD selected by the patron, Dimitri Hegemann, a 20-page libretto, a commemorative sticker, and a ticket to the new Tresor, relocated on Köpenicker Straße in the German capital.
