Jiaolong, Dan Snaith’s (Caribou) label, is becoming one of the most exciting new platforms on the electronic scene, even though it isn’t terribly prolific. Its fourth title will be by Chaz Bundick, but under his alias aimed more at the dance floor, Les Sins. This will be his first release since “Lina / Youth Gone”, put out by Carpark two years ago. As explained by Spin, the A-side, “Fetch”, will make use of Todd Edwards’ micro-sampling technique, mixing R&B vocals with a house-type bass. For its part, “Taken” is described as “more oblique, and possibly better for it, rolling out a meandering synthesizer melody over a slightly shaky house groove before blossoming into a harmonically supersaturated jam”.
