RVNG Intl continues to explore the less frequented margins of contemporary electronica with the first full-length by young composer Holly Herndon. Originally from Tennessee, Herndon spent some time in Berlin before going back to the States to study Electronic Music at Mills College in San Francisco. There, she developed her own experimental vision, focusing on the manipulation of the voice and started working on “Movement”, her first album, featuring seven tracks on which Herndon combines her education as a modern composer with her love of club music, using a string of vocal processing techniques and FM synthesis. All that, with a laptop as her only hardware tool. For now, the only preview is the short teaser video below. To hear “Movement” in its entirety, we'll have to wait until 13th November.
