Poor Moon’s Full-Length Debut

The parallel project of various members of Fleet Foxes lets us hear “Holiday” as a first taste of their upcoming album

Poor Moon’s Full-Length Debut | Music News

Things are moving fast for Poor Moon. Just over two months ago they were complete unknowns, although their ties (in particular the fact that two of the members are from Fleet Foxes) and their sponsorship by Sub Pop led one to foresee a level of attention that many other new bands would love to get. Their “Illusion EP arrived at the end of March on the Seattle label. Five songs in which they explore different aspects of folk and folk-rock, soon to be continued in the form of an album. The album will bear the same name as the band, and will arrive at the end of the summer (28th August in the USA and 3rd September in Europe) on Sub Pop and Bella Union.

While we wait for new details to come out, we’ll leave you with “Holiday”, a deliciously light song that makes us think of Kings of Convenience playing with M Ward and Cal Tjader, under the watchful eye of Martin Denny on a beach in Honolulu. We wouldn’t mind being there with them, right now.
