A month ago, Sasu Ripati shared a live recording from the Bimhuis venue in Amsterdam, featuring a lot of material from the Finnish magician's upcoming album as Vladislav Delay, “Kuopio”, which will be released after the summer. Prior to that we'll get the EP “Espoo”, featuring two long pieces described as “conceptual, rhythm-intense tracks”. According to the press release, both songs are “close to Terry Riley’s minimalistic concepts”, share a “linear increase in density”, and a “certain folkloric atmosphere” that benefits from the break in the usual 4/4 pattern.
The record will be out on 25th June, via Raster-Noton. Listen to excerpts of both tracks after the jump.
