On Domino they seem to want to avoid creating overblown expectations around Animal Collective’s latest movements. Yesterday, Sunday, they announced the release of a new single and with it came the chance to listen to both sides. Furthermore, although the single won’t be physically in the shops (on a 7” record) until this coming 26th June, both of the songs will be available on digital format from today. So you see, nothing to fan the promotional flames - texts praising it, teasers, previews lasting just a few seconds - none of that. You can listen to “Honeycomb” and “Gotham” on the widget that we’ve left you after the jump.
