A week before the release of “Ark”, the first full-length by Halls, we can already listen to it online. It's an album where intimacy goes hand in hand with majesty, abstraction turns into emotion, and human warmth is sustained by electronica. Eleven sorrowful songs featuring pianos, synthesizers, symphonic arrangements, glitchy rhythms, impressive vocals and tons of reverb. All that, topped off with the deep voice of young Sam Howard, singing about the existential tribulations of modern life. Listen to it after the jump, and remember that the album will be out on No Pain In Pop on 22nd October.
