Jon Convex Album In July

“Idoru” will be released by Convex Industries and will be preceded by two EPs

Jon Convex Album In July | Music News

Damon Kirkham’s solo adventure under the alias Jon Convex continues. After his recent work for Martyn’s label, 3024, Kirkham has announced that he has prepared his first album, which will be out this coming 30th July on his own recording label, Convex Industries.

“Idoru”, the title he has chosen for the work, will have 10 songs that - as the producer has explained - are a compendium of everything that has influenced him over the last 20 years in music. It will be stylistically in the line of “Resolution: 653”, the last album released by Instra:mental. Two of the songs include the collaboration of Breakage and dBridge under the alias Velvit.

The album release will be preceded by two EPs limited to an edition of 300 copies, “Idoru #1” and “Idoru #2”, which will be out on the 2nd and 30th of July, respectively. The first of those  works include a remix handled by Gucci Vump (a project by Brodinski and Guillaume from The Shoes). Kirkham has also been working on the staging of the album, which will have custom-made visuals based on the covers of the album and the EPs.
