Two years after “Police Water” (Sacred Bones, 2010), and in the wake of his recent adventure with Taylor Richardson in Human Teenager, New York experimental musician Gary War is landing on Spectrum Spools with “Jared's Lot”. A new album which, according to the label, holds his “most concise and mind-blowing set of songs presented yet”. More synthetic than ever, War presents eight new tracks on which he refines his psychedelic sound. While his love for alien pop still keeps a strong hold on his music, this time War does without his usual chaotic developments, favouring instead melodic layers of sumptuous textures, which gives a new twist to his particular production style.
“Jared's Lot” is scheduled for release on 24th July. Here we leave you with a first advance track, the album tracklist and its artwork.
