Florence + The Machine Do An “MTV Unplugged” | Music News

Florence Welch's band, Florence + The Machine, are more popular than ever, thanks to Ceremonials” (Universal, 2011). So it's no surprise that they've been invited to join the select club of artists who have recorded an album for the "MTV Unplugged" series. On 10th April, the LP - recorded last December in the New York synagogue of Angel Orensanz - will be released. Our ginger heroine played, alongside some of her hits, two covers: soul classic Try A Little Tenderness”, and Jackson”, popularised by Johnny Cash and June Carter (which she performed with QOTSA's Josh Homme). Check out the tracklist to the right.
