After rising to fame with a string of EPs on labels like Grizzly, Tube 10, Fortified Audio and Surefire, mixing ingredients from bass, juke and hip-hop, Michael Rathburn, alias Distal, will make his album debut on 30th April on Tectonic. The Atlanta producer presents “Civilization”, and judging from this first advance track, he will be exploring much denser, rougher and abyssal sounds than on his previous efforts. "Gorilla" is a deep composition with a distant sound, a worrying pulse and abrasive forms. Like a steamroller entering a rainforest, leaving behind nothing but dead nature.
