Since their pre-fame days when they were working in a small record shop in Hamburg, Jens Moelle and Ismail Tüfekçi have always been faithful followers of the DJ-Kicks compilations. And this is why the boys from Digitalism say that they are more than excited to have received a call from the label !K7, asking them to star in the next issue of the compilation series. They won’t be sneezing at electro-rock or more classic synth-pop, nor will they forget their trance roots, techno drums, the frenzy of punk disco and more glamorous pop; the duo has strung together a session with 22 cuts, 8 of them previously unreleased, with room for people like Vitalic, Grauzone, Housemeister, Tomas Barfod and WhoMadeWho. The album will reach the shops on 10th July. Until then, they offer us one of the Germans’ previously unreleased tracks as an advance, “A New Drug”.
