Stockholm band Holograms has already found a place to release their debut album, and it is no other than Captured Tracks. The press release says that the group’s music “echoes both the violent abandonment of punk, as well as some of the electronic gloss of early '80s new wave”. Words that we should take to heart, judging by their first advance, “Chasing My Mind”, with throbbing synths, martial drumrolls, and a pub-suited punk air that, although it is slightly belligerent, doesn’t entirely abandon its pop side. “Holograms” is expected to reach the shops from the 10th July.
