The mystery surrounding #thepuritan has been cleared up. Last week, Blur invited their fans on Twitter to watch their space on 2nd July. Now, the band have confirmed that on that day, two new singles will be released, “The Puritan” and “Under The Westway”. Both tracks were written for their performance at the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics, at Hyde Park, this coming August, and will be debuted on the social network. The band will be playing a short set on 2nd July, around 6:15 pm GMT, and will be broadcasting it live on Twitter. The band will also be interviewed then.
“The Puritan” and “Under The Westway” will be released on a limited-edition 7” on 6th August, on Parlophone.
