Blackest Ever Black Reissues Gareth Williams & Mary Currie

The label will release “Flaming Tunes” on vinyl for the first time

Blackest Ever Black Reissues Gareth Williams & Mary Currie | Music News

“Flaming Tunes” was the album Gareth Williams made with Mary Currie after leaving This Heat. The record was released on tape in 1985, and is now virtually un-findable. In 2009, Life And Living Records reissued it on CD, and now Blackest Ever Black is planning to do the same thing on vinyl. The release, the first ever reissue on Kiran Sande's label, has no release date as of yet, but it has been confirmed on the platform's website. The LP took This Heat's experimental legacy, but made it less rough and more accessible, presenting a collection of art-rock songs, melancholic and rainy. While no more info has been made available, here's the tracklist and one of the songs on it.
