With infectious singles like “212”, Azealia Banks managed to capture everyone's attention and a deal with Universal Music. Everything coming from the sassy Harlem MC's mouth on her social network pages has the potential to become news, especially when her words are aimed at other candidates to the title of new female hybrid rap sensation (her recent beefs with Kreayshawn and Iggy Azalea caused a bit of a stir). But her Twitter account also serves to give out info on her new releases. Yesterday, Azealia announced the arrival - on 17th April - of her new EP. It’s called “1991” (her birth year) and features the title track alongside “Grand Prix”, both previously unreleased. Furthermore, Banks also let the world know she's working on a remix for Lana Del Rey, and that her debut album - “Broke With Expensive Taste”, due out in September - could feature at least one track produced by Kanye West.
