50Weapons, one of Modeselektor's labels, announced the start of a new sub-label, 50Weapons XTR. The first title on it will be by Atoms For Peace, the super-group formed by Thom Yorke, Nigel Godrich, Joey Waronker, Mauro Refosco, and Red Hot Chilli Pepper’s bassist Flea. On the A-side of the single, due out in August, will be a remix by the band of “Tamer Animals” by Other Lives, while on the flip, Atoms For Peace themselves revisit their own “Other Side”. The vinyl will be available in a limited edition of 300 stamped and numbered white-label copies on 12”.
It's also suggested that Atoms For Peace could have an album out by the end of this year, which will be the label’s next title.
