At the International Comic-Con in San Diego, the first of six chapters will be presented of a comic that is an extension of the character Coldplay's “Mylo Xyloto” was based upon. Co-written and illustrated by Mark Osborne (maker of “Kung Fu Panda” and “The Spongebob Squarepants Movie”), the series is, according to its author, the “latest expression of a music-driven feature animated film that the band and I started developing several years ago”. It's the story of Mylo Xyloto, a “young Silencer on the front lines of a war against sound and colour in the world of Silencia. Mylo discovers that the enemy he’s been trained to hate his whole life might not be the enemy after all.”
The first chapter will be available with an exclusive alternative cover at the Comic Con and, shortly, also on the band's website. It will be released in stores on a monthly basis starting February 2013 by Bongo Comics Group, Matt Groening's publishing house.
