Last Friday, to celebrate the release of his first solo album “Blunderbuss”, Jack White went onstage at Webster Hall in New York for a gig as part of the webcast series ‘American Express Unstaged’, directed by actor and director Gary Oldman. In the first part of the concert, he was backed by an all-female band called The Peacocks. Playing songs from his album and also tracks from his other projects, The White Stripes, The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather, including one of his contributions to “Rome” by Danger Mouse and Daniele Luppi. Halfway through the gig, the band changed to the all-male Los Buzzardos. They started with banger “Sixteen Saltines”, and then continued on the same path as the first half, this time including covers of Hank Williams and Leadbelly. Watch the full show below.
