News like this shows us how much George Lewis Jr. has grown with his inspired first album, “Forget” (Terrible/4AD, 2010). About a month ago, we gave you details about Twin Shadow’s second album, a work called “Confess”, which will reach the shops on 9th July (a day later in the U.S.A.) on the 4AD label. The first advance from it, “Five Seconds” (you can listen to it underneath these lines), now has an official video. It is the first episode in a series that will be developed over the coming months. We don’t know what the focus or the plot will be yet, but it must be something very well-planned, if you think about where it will premiere: on one of the giant screens in New York’s Times Square. Can you think of anywhere better?
The premiere will take place on Monday, 18th June at 8 p.m. (New York time). Immediately after showing the video, Twin Shadow will give a free concert in Times Square itself. If you are fortunate enough to be in New York that day, you know where to go.
