Radiohead's Right Hand Man Nigel Godrich Started A Band | Music News

We wouldn't be surprised if it came to light that Nigel Godrich has found a magic fomrula to make a day last 36 hours. Besides his work as Radiohead's right hand man and as a producer for bands like Pavement and Beck, Godrich has found the time to start a band of his own, Ultraísta, with London singer Laura Bettison and the also highly prolific musician and producer Joey Waronker, formerly the drummer of The Smashing Pumpkins, Beck, R.E.M. and Elliott Smith, and, alongside Godrich and Thom Yorke, part of Atoms In Peace. Only one song has surfaced so far, Smalltalk”, a slice of synth-pop featuring Godrich's trademark sounds, accompanied by a video.
