To celebrate this week’s release of the gigantic boxset "21" - and as a warm-up for the big concert they are preparing for the closing ceremony of the 2012 London Olympic Games - Blur performed twice yesterday for BBC Radio. In the Maida Vale studios they played six songs for BBC Radio 6 and answered a lot of questions on the program, which lasted three hours, playing “Caramel” for the first time and “Young & Lovely” for the second. You can access the audio through this link. Later they offered an hour-long performance on BBC Radio 2, where there was also a surprise, “Mr. Briggs”, a song that they hadn’t played since 1992. You can also listen to this second session by clicking here. To the right of these lines, we leave you with the tracklist of both performances. Tomorrow we will be back with more Blur, reporting on their Margate concert.
